Hey John, It is not a welded frame and the headstock is open. Not sure what makes the welded frame popular, but per my good, late friend Buddy Bryant of Waco, Tx, who took the guitar to Bud Carter when I first aquired the guitar, who made the guitar,serviced it, and wanted it. It's a great guitar. Thanks for looking BL

Hey folks, several have shown interest in my MCI and requesting pictures of the undercarriage. As I have told forumites, I have had problems downloading more than one picture. I do not know why!!! My computer has messed up and seems to be the problem. Anyway, I would not sell the guitar without being able to show more pictures to anyone. I know the guitar is great, but have decided to end the sale until I can post more pictures. Sorry for any inconvenience, and thanks for looking. Please accept my apology. BL
