Does anyone know whether or not if the person who makes the Steelers Choice will re pad the seat. I like my steelers choice seat but the pad is too weak and after a few minutes, my a.. starts to hurt. I was wandering if I could send it to them to maybe get it repadded with a tougher padding. LAtely I 've resorted to use a kitrchen chair.

Ben, I believe most any local upholtery shop could do it for you. I got mine done by a guy locally.

Kevin is right. Dan raised my seat for me and gave it a rehab. It came back like a brand new seat!

Ben,

Make sure whoever rebuilds your seat uses two different densities of foam in the pad. Soft density foam on top makes the seat comfy. Harder foam on the bottom prevents your bottom from hitting the plywood.

I need a foam replacement on mine about 6 or 7 years ago. I called Steeler's Choice and they made a new seat section for me. All I had to do was remove the old one and reinstall the hardware.

I've built seats so that was the best option for me. If you can do that, call them about a replacement seat lid.

I wanted both of my SC seats raised, and I also felt that one of the cushions was getting a bit 'tired' and wasn't quite so spongy. I sent them back - one at a time, of course - and they took care of everything in a very timely manner.

Those guys are at the top of the tree when it comes to their product and their customer service!

I ordered the new covering and the foam from Dan and did the recovering myself. Not that big of a job if you have a good stapler. Just fold the corners like the old one. Looks and feels like new. My butt sure thanks me.
