Maverick tuning

I am sure this has been asked 57,000 times but..

I am having trouble with the c pedal on a standard vinyl covered maverick. I can make all the pedals and the e-lever work perfect. As soon as I touch the C pedal everything goes to heck. Almost the whole guitar is going out of tune. Any hints would be appreciated.

make sure the linkage is correct and then set up the c pedal changes after a & b are set right.
