Rukavina 8
When I saw this on ebay (posted by Ryan Rukavina).....I pulled the trigger.....I've been an admirer of Ryan's work for a while....it sounds every bit as good as it looks.....

I'm really enjoying playing this guitar...it's some hunk of mahogany......the string spacing is just a hair over 3/8 at the bridge with a slight taper at the nut......very comfortable........the sound is on the midrangy side with great clarity in the highs & lows......the low end is clear, no mud at all even going way past the 12th fret......

Rukavina 8 string lap steel guitar
Howard, your new guitar made by Ryan Rukavina looks like a masterpiece, and I am convinced, based on the craftsmanship that Ryan possesses, that the sound is just as great as the guitar. I purchased the first 8 string lap sdteel that Ryan made, and while mine does not have the elaborate workmanship as yours does , I love mine and the sound it produces is great. It would be much better if I could play it with the skill that its potential demands.

Thank you, Howard, and other nice folks! It's a late chime-in here, but I 'd like to thank Howard for the support and the good word regarding this oddly whittled plank. It took a little doing, so I'm glad it's a joy for you. Also glad you found a stand to work out for it...it's definitely not made out of balsa. Feel free to send/share a clip should you ever record with it!
Thanks again, Howard!
