Thanks Paddy. What is the approximate cost of the unit and is it ordered directly from the company?
What is the power output. |

Stewart makes a great single space power amp. There is one for sale here on the Forum at a very reasonable price. I wouldn't hesitate one minute about getting that one if I was putting together a rack system. |

Bill, whatever amp you choose, don't overlook the cooling requirements for that particular amp. There are amps that require a good bit of free air around them (big rack), others that require a fan in the rack and still others that have their own cooling front panel air circulation and temperature control (least space required). You can quickly ruin a great amplifier if it is allowed to overheat.
Also you will want to decide on stereo or mono - depending upon whether or not your EFX unit is pseudo stereo or not. |

I located the price on their Web page and it appears to be around $1850. I am afraid this is out of my range. Thanks anyway for the info. |

Bill I also have a Peavey DPC750 which I have had for about 16 or 17 years (since they came out) ...it has been a very reliable power amp, but it weighs about 15 lbs and is fan cooled -- with quite loud fan noise at idle (you can't hear that when your playing of course)
So if weight isn't a big issue for your rack they can probably be picked up fairly cheaply. about 350 Watts per side (Stereo) ! Single rack unit. _________________ 14'Zumsteel Hybrid D10 9+9

I talked with Joe Garner at Music City Instruments in Magee, MS, and he tells me that Peavey has a new rack amp. He has it on back order and should be delivered in January. Does anyone out there know about it. Sounds interesting...
