Hey Stormy, I been wondering what happened to you? Ain't seen you on here in a long while now.
Thanks for the input buddy, I shipped Weldon's guitar off yesterday and he should have it by Monday next week. I think he's going to post pictures on here when he gets it all set up.

I was wondering? What was the copedant on Weldon's guitar?
I seem to remember him having a different raise/lower thing going on with string 1....

David its Weldon's 2nd string that's different. He tunes it down to C# open, then raises it a 1/2 and a whole tone on two different knee levers.
I'll try to load it here.

Thanks Fred
Thats interesting.
See how he doesn't lower the E's on the same lever too.
Best wishes Fred..
I love the uneven pencilled copedant grid.
I can imagine you drawing that up while he was on the phone to you.
You will have to make a template up on the PC..
......for your future orders....

First off, I apologize for the super-geeky question in advance, but I was curious about the E-Eb change. Being a very devout student of Mr. Myrick's steel guitar stylings, I was aware of the 2nd string raise but I had thought that he never lowered his E's. Is this a recent thing or has Weldon always had this change? Maybe at different times? I know I'm being a nerd, but when I'm trying to figure out fills and phrases, this is the kind of thing that keeps me up at night!

Dave, maybe Weldon will correct me if I'm wrong. The reason Weldon lowers his E's on 2 different knee levers is, he has pretty much always lowered the 8th, and added the lowering the 4th in recent years.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Thank you Lathan. Both Scottie Baker and Weldon Myrick will receive their guitars sometime Monday.
I believe both Weldon and Scottie plan on posting pictures here on the Forum. Stay tuned.
