| I would like some opinions on peavey amps i know a lot of people like the nashville 112 but a lot of people like the older models i want to hear opinions on which is best.i know opinions will vary but i want to hear them anyway. |

I have three peaveys. A 70's session 400(their first real steel amp), an LTD(smaller version of the session 400), and a Vegas(like a nashville 400 but with two channels and in a larger cab). I sent the LTD to Fox vintage amps for a complete mod, and it sounds much better now, especially on the high end.
You can't go wrong with a nashville 400 though. They aren't to bulky for lugging around and they have enough power for any gig. If you can find one with a chip upgrade, fox intense mod, or a neo speaker (to make it lighter) i'd say go for it, it's worth the extra cash. |

I have both a Session-400 w/15 inch as well as an
LA-400 w/12 inch. Both are Black Widow speakers, 250 watts, solid state.
I feel the LA-400 gives ME, more bang for the buck.
It's great with my older Ric's as well as my Emmons P/P.
I find the 12 inch speaker to be ideal for all my playing variables. |

The nashville 112 is great sounding amp- however I don't find it to be loud enough for me for live shows. My personal favorite is my Session 500, however I use my modified session 400 limited for road work. Alot of folks like the nashville 400 but I'm not crazy about the low end in that amp but it is quite a bit smaller and lighter than the Sessions.

| Daniel, there is a wealth of information already available on the Forum. If you will take the time to use the "search" feature, found near the top of the page, you will find that Peavey amps have been the topic of discussion for quite a few years now. |
