PSGA Show
I have played this show many times over the years and I must say that it is one of the finest shows there are. It is first class all the way. The hotel is excellent, the backup band is one of the finest I have ever worked with. I am really glad to see that Larry Eagle will be there this year as he is one of the finest drummers I have ever worked with. Another thing about this great show is the audience in that they appreciate all types of music from straight ahead country to jazz. Also, Mike Gross who does the MC work is one of the best in the business and adds so much to the show. Of course the lineup of players is good as I knew it would be. Jeff De Maio and his band, Gunsmoke are excellent. I am really excited to get back to this great show and I hope to see many of you there.

I look forward to playing Saturday bass for this show every year. I'd also like to let everyone know that Western Caravan, New York's finest Western Swing/honkytonk band, will be playing at the Rodeo Bar (3rd Ave @27th St.) in Manhattan on the 14th. All performers and attendees are invited to join us at 8:30 if you can.

I am looking forward to the show especially the Russ Hicks-Robby Turner Tribute to Ralph Mooney on Saturday night.
If you haven't been to one of the past years events, this is the one to make your first.

I'm definitely making it there this year......The PSGA Show is always a great venue to get your fill of steel guitar......and it's a great line up as always.....it's also a very intimate and friendly show.....very easy & enjoyable to hob nob with the players.....
And if it doesn't get any better than that.....the back up band is amazing.....bar none.....these guys play every & anything that is thrown at them (I did once throw a tomato at Fooch....but that was in the restaurant for his salad).....and they play it amazingly well......

Yes, come one, come all to the best and largest steel show in the northeast! The time has come, again, for all our members to support the PSGA and enjoy all the great steel playing. We have two "Hall of Famers" playing this year, along with many superb steel players to showcase their expertise. Try not to miss this show! Mark it on your calendar and be there! It's the only chance to see and talk with your hero's in the northeast. We, the officers, look forward to seeing you all there and supporting "your" club.

So, my list of things to prepare for this year's PSGA show are growing...
get my bow rehaired
find my red shirt that won't show tomato stains (for Howard)
practice my Tommy Jackson licks
give Jeff DeMaio a couple of bucks to set things up so Russ is on my side of the stage for at least one of the two days of the show, then I'll have the best seat in the house for his set!
Congratulations to you Russ on your well deserved induction into the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame. I'm looking forward to playing with you again.

I'd love to be able to attend as it is great to see my friends, but I'm not able this year.
Looks like a great line-up for the show with some super local talent as well.
Be well Bob hope to make it in the future.
I'll be sending some new tabs for the newsletter soon after the show.
