My Latest posted on Youtube this afternoon.

Again based on John's version.
Since my last one, was said to have the effects set too high, I felt I'd let everyone hear my "Black 2005 D-10 Carter" using XR-16 pickups, also, using nothing other than the steel itself. "No effects at all".
Once again all comments are welcome, regardless of good, bad or indifferent.

Easy to hear that you can make that steel sound plenty good enough on its own, without any effects. I like it!
BTW, are you just jogging the volume pedal a bit too much, or is there something in your recording software/setup that makes especially the steel "jog" up and down in volume where it apparently shouldn't ? |

I'd like to hear other's opinions on that. I say that, because the only thing I'm hearing is my way of expressing my own feeling/s via way of however it comes out, when playing a tune I'm really into.  And to me, that's when a lot of use comes into play on many terms of playing. So I can't be sure if it's overly done or not? "Interesting thought, though"!
How about some others expressing what they are hearing here too.

| That was real pretty. You and the Carter have got it, but don't let them talk you out of all your effects. A little reverb or delay would have really accented that song. Just learn to use it sparingly and on the right songs and you got it made. |

Hi Carl,
Thanks, and I'm glad you like it. What you hear, is nothing you can't do. I use two knee levers, Lowering E's and Raising E's. and the three A,B & C pedals, in anything I play. I have to work around anything that calls for more than that, since I can't use my right leg for the knee levers. Listen to it in parts, and you'll be playing it in no time at all. Everything I play that's other folks material, I learn by listening. The same way I learned when just starting out years and years back in time. I don't use tab, and I just get them as close as I'm capable of,(which isn't too close).

Thanks a whole lot for your kind words. Glad you liked it. I'm laughing at the, "Nice beard too". I let it grow for 10 years once, without a razor touching it. It was down below my waist. I finally shaved it off, and just don't like shaving.  I know, it needs to come off.. 
PS: Maybe I shouldn't have scratched my nose at the end!!!!!!!

Thanks for the reply and glad you liked it.
Yes, I'm going to be using a small amount of reverb, and maybe just a touch of delay. I'm currently experimenting around trying to come up with something that works. This is all new to me. Even the come back trail is too.
