I recently got hold of a 1970 D10 with 8 floor and 2 knees..The F - or E raise lever was taken off and the parts are bagged..Looking for rod chart or early under carriage pics to get it back up and running...

David, it's pretty straight forward , was the cross shaft removed also, and I will assume it is LKL if so
there is a double plate on the back of the guitar, remove the outer plate, in your "bag" there should be 1. shoulder bolt,2 KL,3 reversing bar with brass Ferrell 4. transfer rod, 5 crossrod w/ bushings 6. 2 bell cranks w/ brass Ferrells.

If the crossrod is not installed, remove the left back plate screws and loosen the right back plate screws just enough to carefully pull the backplate out enough
to install the bushings and cross rod. If you end up pulling the whole plate off it's OK but a lot more tedious. Re assemble . the hole for the lever thru which the shoulder bold screws into is on the back plate, there is also a smaller hole near for a stop screw. the rest should be easy for you to figure out,
study the rest of the guitar and it will become apparent.
Best wishes,
Jim, Lone Star Steel Guitar

I believe that this was a "pre-Micro" guitar and, as such, none of the responses are valid as it has a completely different undercarriage and changer than the Micro-era guitars. I believe that this is a post describing the guitar.

Jim
you are correct..I did call Reece at MSA and he told me how the rods are to be set..I couldnt remember which string was which..He helped me out..Since this time I have had some issues that have come up and I need to sell this beauty..However it will be no problem to put this lever assembly back on..From what I gather this set up is very similar to sho bud rack and barrel- just a little less parts..
