This is an easy to play example of how the E9th 7th string whole tone raise and the 9th string half tone lower can be combined with split tuning. Makes a great turn around or practice tool hitting all these changes smoothly. They quickly become reflex with a little practice. They also get you out of the stereotypical E9th sounds rut.

I really enjoyed doing this latest "paint by number"! Whoa! I've got a few more things to post including the 3rd string half tone lower and the 8th string whole tone raise on pedal 3.

Of all the changes I've made in the past year on E9th, I'd say ditching the 6th string G# to F# change in favor of the 7th string F# to G# change has been the most rewarding. The latter change has proven to be a lot more versatile and opens up more new sounds than the latter.
