After the dust settled for me on Saturday nite I was at my booth and timing was on my side, Steve was about to come on, so Bob Lucier, Fred Amendola and I found some seats fairly close up front and settled in for what was my first dose of S.P........what a humbling experience. My friend Malcolm Kirby had told me about Steve years ago but this was my first time to hear him in person. What a perfect example of how it should be done. Tone, technique and style in the first degree; we were just blown away with his every move.
If I had no other reason to go to St. Louis this year that one set would have been more than enough, and I know that that first dose of S.P. won't be my last. Steve, congratulations on being the player you are and I hope to see you in Dallas.

Hello Steve,
I total agree with Russ. Man what a player you are.
I have two cassetes and two CD from you and it´s really amazing if I listen to your music. From Jazz, Country and speed picking. All is perfect. What Russ says: This is the steelplaying how it should be done.
Congretz Steve.
Regards,
Marcel

I've never had the pleasure of hearing Steve live, but on the albums I have of his......they blow me away.......I wore out the one with Randy Cornor (I think I spelled that right)playing guitar with him. I'm also glad to know that he, too, has recently gone to playing a Mullen Guitar......The best to you Steve......HAL
