Question for Tommy White

Post by Paul Carestia »

Tommy,

I just finished watching again your Pedalhead video on E9th. Toward the end of that video you mentioned that you would be doing a C6th version. That was in 1999.

Have you completed a C6th instruction video comparable to the E9th? If so, how do I purchase a copy?

If not, do you still plan to do so?

I for one would be very interested in purchasing such if you ever make it.

Your E9th video is absolutely excellent!

Thanks for sharing your knowledge with the rest of us!

Paul,
How kind. Thank you so much for inquiring. We have scrapped the idea of doing the C6th vid for now. Just not enough interest and not cost effective, as we have one in college, one starting college and two more to go! Maybe in a year or three we can revisit the idea.
Again, my sincere thanks!

Tommy just have someone shoot it at home, talk us through the material, no need for 2-3 cameras and special lighting etc, it is the info we are interested in, not the production. Just a thought, we are all still out here, still waiting. Pull the trigger.

Larry, I think the "interest" may be in TW's court?

Paul C-How long have you been out in Colorado? I know it has been a few years since we spoke.
(Apparently another of Chicagoland's most prominent steelers has gone from the area)

Everyone may have done a steel guitar video, but none with the Tommy White touch!

Hell, I bought TW's video (err...DVD) *well* before I ever even laid eyes on a PSG in person (which only happened a couple months ago, and yeah, I bought it). Even though I was easily confused (after all, I'm a bassist  ), I found it extremely inspiring. And that tune at the end just knocked me out of my chair.
