Chris, along with a long run on Hee Haw (13 years?), being a vital member of Barefoot Jerry, and a list of road jobs that would impress anyone (Connie Smith alone would be enough!) and session work, Russ has all the credentials for being inducted. I missed more than I listed, I'm sure. Someone else needs to finish my list!!! Oh yeah, do a search for Slim Mims and see a lot of Russ's multiple talents on display.

I would like to add my congratulations also Russ.
Very well deserved Sir.
I will never forget last year up in the Telonics room in Phoenix & you jamming away on my Emmons S-10 PP.
It has never sounded so good - what a great player &
a very nice guy on top of that.
Glad to hear you made it.

"Tone is in the hands. Unless your wife will let you buy a new amp. Then it's definitely in that amp."
We need to turn the TWANG up a little
It's not what you play through, it's what you play through it.
They say that tone is all in the fingers...I say it is all in your head
Some of the best pieces of life are the little pieces all added up..Ron
the value of friendship. Old friends shine like diamonds, you can always call them and - most important - you can't buy them.

Congrats Russ
I don,t see how you could have a steel guitar hall of fame without Russ being in it.One of the best things I ever heard was Russ and Charlie McCoy playing on an outdoor stage down here in Okeechobee Fl ,just steel and harmonica.I don,t remember the song but it was magic.

Those alone should have got him in.
Let's not forget his wonderful work as part of the Nashville Super Pickers (with Buddy Emmons and the rest of the gang) as well the Nashville Bar Association with Buddy, John Hughey, Sonny Garrish, and Jimmie Crawford.russ is slightly less exposed to some of us who don't live around nashville. can you post some of his credits and accomplishments for us?
Those alone should have got him in.
