Early 50's Fender Dual Pro - Still For Sale

Post by Dan Schwartz »

I am selling my Fender Dual Pro. I wish I didn't have to, but it has been a dry summer. $1100 + shipping. Looks, plays and sounds great.

I replaced a noisy tone pot, but will included the original. Includes the original case. It needs a handle, and is a bit beat up, but in working shape. Also included is the custom case I had built for it by Blue Heron. Probably protects it better than the original.

I'm interested in your Fender, some questions. Does it have the original finish and do you know the year?
Thanks!

Charlie,

Thanks for your questions. I don't know the exact date. There is a date under the inside pickup, but it is really hard to read. It appears to be 10/4/5?. As far as I know the finish is original. I would hate to be wrong on this - is there a way to confirm?

Dan,

On mine (and most I have seen) the date was written in pencil under the tuning pan. (see this thread http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=208980 )

If I remember right (you got a 50/50 chance) it was the in the front neck tuner pan route.. but I cant remember for sure..

Thanks for the link Hal. There is definitely no date under the tuning pans on mine.
