Mike, how do you like your true tone pup/Vthe GL?
I have a 705 on mine but Gary said he really like the true tone. I may be trying one. _________________ Custom Rittenberry SD10

Bill, I put a True Tone in mine this weekend. I had it wound to 17.8, and the it's single coil tone to the max. The biggest difference I've found so far is the clarity of the highs at the 12th fret and above. Since I haven't had a chance to play it out yet, I'll keep you posted on how it does at stage levels. So far, I'm quite happy with it. |

Bill, I just got in from playing my first gig with the True Tone in the Ritt, and it was pure magic. Clear and punchy highs without being shrill, and warm lows without being muddy. I REALLY like it. |

Gary is a fine craftsman who cares deeply about his product! I have been enjoying my Ritt since I picked it up from him in Dallas in March 2009! I needed some help on an item, and called Gary, and he sent me what I needed! He is a true American Craftsman! Glad to see all the new Rittenberry owners on the forum!.
Here is a picture of me with my Rittenberry this past weekend!

I've heard the Alumitone p/u on a couple of Ritts and they sounded great on Youtube , never heard them in a live situation. Mine has the 705 which is pretty good.
Gary is always very helpful when i call for info. This steel has impressed me as a good un. Way to go, Gary

Mike, here are a few shots showing the TrueTone. It was a simple swap, but you will need to make a trip to Lowe's/HD. The wire from the 705 feeds straight down through the hole to the underside of the guitar. The wire from the TT will have to lay flat for 1/2" or so before it reaches that hole. You'll need four nylon spacers to raise the TT enough to clear the wire. Since you're raising the pup, you'll also need some longer mounting bolts. You need 4-40/1/2" if I remember correctly. There is plenty of adjustment to get the TT settled in where you want it. Hope this helps.
