What do you think about getting parts etc for a Carter if I was able to find one? I don't see any S-10's for sale, are people just hanging on to them?

Try Al Brisco at Steel Guitar Canada. He's got complete Carters and parts for sale.

I checked with him and all he has in a s-10 is an ugly green one. I don't think I can get too excited about it. Maybe a nice Black one with pad would be nice.

Jack, it has been noticeable that since the untimely passing of John Fabian that the number of used Carter guitars for sale has dropped right away. There used to be plenty for sale, not anymore.

People I know here in California have had no problems getting Carter parts from Al Brisco in Canada. They rave about his excellent customer service.

Jack,

I have a Magnum Pro Select SD-10 (made by Carter) that I am trading in on a Mullen through Herby Wallace.

If you were interested and I could get the difference from my trade with Herby maybe we could arrange something.

Shoot me an email and I can send you some pics. Steel is Black and has not left my music room, it was 1 year old in April. It's in pristine condition.

I'm in Nova Scotia Canada so shipping might cost a bit. I'm planning on shipping mine to Herby when the Mullen is ready.

Did you see this one Jack? It's a single 10 on a wide or double frame.

This appears to be a nice guitar at a very fair price. FYI.
