steel guitar jam saturday or sunday

I was wondering ,is it better to have a steel jam on saturday or sunday. what do you guys prefer.. I have had them on sundays. steel wondering

I guess it all depends on whether or not you'd be playing Saturday night.
It would be good to have the band practice sooner (Saturday afternoon) as that way things could be discussed as to what way the songs could be arranged plus what order the breaks would be arranged between the steel and the lead picker or the piano....whatever any other instrument would be taking a break.
If the practice would be on a Sunday then most of what was discussed or practiced would be a few days from the actual booking.

I have done steel jams in the past .We done them on sunday afternoons .we have had some awsome steel players show up to play.These folks are the best. everything went smooth ,music was great.
