They will fit fine. The Bw is much brighter and lacks the low end this speaker has. To me the BW is much more of JBL tone while this speaker is a smoother tone like an EV or the old 1502-4 that was used in the early N-400 amps. Sopme prefer the BW and JBL tone and some do not, it is a matter of taste for sure!

The new model of Eminence will have a very similar tone the the 1501-4SB (so we have heard form many of the testers of the protoype, including Jack Stoner, Tommy Butler and myself). I sent a SICA to Eminence for a comparison to the new Eminence prototype. They sent these charts of the speakers and advised to ignore frequencies below around 250hz, as these were open speaker tests. The red line is the SICA speaker. You can see the difference in the high end here:

Just recd my 2nd SICA speaker and am building cabinet for it now. I am playing the first one through a GK MB200 and using a Peavy Profex II for EQs and effects. I have settings for pedal steel, lead guitar and fiddle in the profex and the SICA sounds good with all of them. New amp weighs 23 lbs. Yahoo.

Ron, I just gopt off the phone after a long talk with Walker. He said to stay with the 4 ohm speakers, they sound better with his rig than 8 ohm speakers. You will also get your best power out of the amp at a 4 ohm load per side.

Ken,

Speaker arrived Saturday and was installed into my Steel King within 10 minutes after delivery.

What an immediate difference! The 'ice pick' harshness is gone, and I finally have tonal adjustability within the treble and midrange spectrum, and no longer feel the urge to readjust for lower neck vs. upper neck play.

I highly recommend the upgrade.

Hi Ken, kinda new here. I have a NV 1000 and a NV 400, while I understand the Sica 15 that is on sale is exceleent for the 400 watt rating , I thought that the 1000 was 300 watts. Will that speaker be okay in my 1000?

The SICA 250 watt RMS speaker is a bit of a push in a 300 watt RMS amp. Some people have used it, but the speaker is not rated that high. We have a 350 watt version on the website in Neo with a steel basket. It has a lot more high end than the 250 watt speaker, more like the typical JBL or BW 1501-4. The 250 watt is much more like the old 1502-4 speaker.

Ken, in your judgement, would this be a good speaker for a Webb 614-E amp? I have an old one that I haven't used in years. I believe it's rated 225W rms into 4 ohms. Just wondering what your thoughts are on power handling, since that's close to the max rating of the speaker. Also looking for opinions on how these sound in a Webb.
