I'll Share My World With You - Greg Cutshaw

Post by Greg Cutshaw »

Instrumental version of George Jones' I'll Share My World With You. MSA Legend pedal steel played through a Steel King. Middle turnaround uses a Pog2 and Line6 Roto-Machine with the pedal steel. Guitar is a Fender Squier Classic Vibe Butterscotch Blond played through a black face Princeton Reverb using Hall Of Fame reverb box.

All tuning uses the Peterson Strobo-Flip with the bass tuned straight up using the Bass sweetener, the fiddle uses the Fiddle sweetener tuned up +12 cents, the guitar uses the guitar sweetener straight up and the steel uses the E9 sweetener with the E to Eb's tuned -6 cents flat of the stock setting. The notes at the end are just bass and steel and you can hear how close they are (with the steel played 1/4 fret high to match the bass at that point). The steel is always recorded after all the bass, rhythm and piano parts so that the bar can be moved, tilted and pressured to match the track average tuning at all times.

Hear It!

I liked that very much Greg, George is a big favourite of mine and you certainly do his song justice.

Thank you for posting.

James.
