"Farther Along Thee" Bishop Ronnie P. Hall

Post by Bishop Ronnie P Hall »

Hello My fellow steelers,
Once again, I`ve added an upload that I hope you will enjoy. It was my mother`s favorite song.
I`m honored to try and play it like I used to inthe days that I was a young man at the age of 10 to 13 years old, and I was playing in the holiness church that "she" pastored, in the House of God Churches, that I grew up playing what is now known as Sacred Steel! It was a long time ago! I hope you enjoy it!

Ronnie, that was very nice. your Mother would have been proud. You would have fit in very nicely in the band in that little store front church that my Dad pastored. that too was many years ago and my Dad has gone home to be with the Lord. but, it seems like yesterday.

Hi Eddie! (Cunningham)
Thanks for tuning in. As I think back, It has always struck a chord with a lot of us, who were brought up with a strong church background. Thanks so much for your comment, it means much!

Biishop Hall,
This too is one of my favorite Gosple songs. I love your rendition. My father was a Pastor and he passed away from cancer at just 56 years young. This beautiful song with the touching lyrics brought me great comfort after his passing.
Thank You for posting this,
Chuck

Hello Brother Chuck (Huffman)
As it would be expected, I am deeply moved by your
posting in the loss of your beloved father. You certainly have the deepest of my sympathy, and condolences. I am also thankful to know, that the posting of this song, brings to you comfort, peace, and a sense of well being.
I also want you to know, that this song was, and still is, one of the most difficult renderings that I have ever played. I myself cannot listen to it without awakening the memories of that time. But it also brings to me a sense of the declaration of the statement "Well done, thou good and faithful.......!"
Be Blessed, my dear friend, and thank you so much for your encouragement. The warmest of greetings to you, and yours,
Ron
