Attended Gene Watson concert last nite and it was awesome! John and Willie were exceptional!!!! Johns tone was every steel players dream sound! If you have not heard the Farewell Party band, I recommend you do so. You won't be disappointed. Johns MSA is beautiful! I want one!

Johnny Cox could make a wash tub with bailing wire strings sound good. Way to go Johnny. Jody. |

Jody, you are so right!!!!!.......however, the wash tub is optional and he doesn't really need all 10 strings, as you know. |

I can't let this thread go without pointing out another of Johnny's talents - he is a world class pedal steel guitar builder! He put together my Bb6 S-12 for MSA, and it is the most beautiful instrument I've ever owned - having played archtop jazz guitars for 30 years, I've owned some nice instruments.
When I had questions, Johnny was very gracious about helping me. Johnny's craftsmanship and helpful attitude have contributed greatly towards my strong commitment to MSA guitars. I believe Reece and Kyle know how lucky they are to have his skill in their shop - Reece insisted that Johnny be the one to work on my guitar, which had his new setup. He wanted it done right, and Johnny came through.
Thank you! _________________ Christopher Woitach

Christopher, you are too kind. I really had a great time building your guitar. It was a challenge to say the least. I'm so happy it's working well for you. Reece nor I wanted to let it go. I do enjoy my work at MSA. The folks there are so good to me and gracious to allow me to keep playing. We are able to work my playing jobs around the building schedule. This week I'm finishing Joan's new M3 D/10. Then a SD-12 Studio Pro. _________________ Johnny "Dumplin" Cox
