Here is my new Pink Steelocaster, 3 pickups, 2 Tone Controls, one Volume, a big variation in tone choices for me, normally I don't have any controls and only one Pickup, but I like this Guitar very much and hope you do too.

Nice! I really like the sound of a strat neck pup played with a slide/steel.

Great sound, Jim...! If I am correct, you had your selector switch on position 3 which selects the neck and central PUs for this tune, played with great sensitivity. Yes, the Steelocaster has a great range of sounds. I use position 1 and 2 for a bluesy sound and position 5 (the bridge PU) for a Hank Marvin kind of sound.

Thank you everyone for listening to my song, it always gives me encouragement to keep going.
Yes Kay, the selector was in position 3 on this recording, I like the wide range of sounds and tones coming out of this guitar, its a great addition to my Instruments.

| James....tell us more about the steel. Did you buy it this way? Was it made this way from the get-go? Or, was this a Strat that somebody put a squareneck on? Inquiring minds want to know. |

Stephen,
Normally I build all my own instruments from scratch, but this time I saw and heard the Steelocaster belonging to Ka Daz here on the forum and thought I would like one of those. I bought the Strat body cheap from Fleabay and made a square neck myself, didn't bother with truss rods, the strength is in the Mahogany neck. Printed out the Fretboard and stuck it on, I shortened the scale length to 23 inches, my favorite length.
None of this cost much money, after all I am a Scotsman and there are no pockets in a Kilt. I still have the Gold watch my Grandfather sold to me on his Death Bed.
