Legs and their brackets

Post by Jeff Tripp »

I'd like to hear from folks who feel strongly one way or another about legs and their brackets. What's good, what's bad? Are all legs and brackets equal?

TIA

While I've had guitars in the past with the round legs, I now have a Sierra Session with the square legs. I think at this point (I haven't had any problems) the square legs with the clamp brackets is a good idea.

my clamp brackets on the Sierra are starting to wear down, where I really have to clamp them down hard to keep the legs in when I pick it up out of the case. Then to compensate,I crank it down hard, which means the lever to release it is buried so deep that it's hard to get my fingers in there to release it. I've had other Sierra's that have folding legs that snap into place. Those are sweat.
