I have a current thread on converting Pedal Steel
to Bagpipes playing Scotish music.

We now move on to China and this song features
a simulation of the Chinese Guzheng. I acheive this
by cutting a peice of bamboo about the size of
a steel bar and sliding it on the strings as a
substitute. Bamboo is necessary as it has a shiny
smooth surface giving a special sound.

First you will hear the Guzheng sound with backup
and then in the second verse with the pedal steel
for a very unique Asian sound.

Here is the link to Pedal Steel/Guzheng

Best Regards

Roy

Roy,
That's very nice. When I was in Japan in 1953 that was a very popular song.
