You really don't think Lloyd was enjoying that. He was working his A$$ off trying to help the artist. That is what pro's do.
This lady , more than likely, had plenty of money and wanted the best. How do you think a rusty steel session would have went ?

Bill, I think you're being too harsh on her. The song was kind of repetitive but she sang it nicely and the production was fine. It was obviously simple for Lloyd but no reason I can see for him not to have enjoyed the session.

Mr Moran, I don't think Cerys needs any help. She is a very capable singer. I don't suppose you've heard of "CATATONIA," You may have heard of a fellow Welshman though by the name of Tom Jones, he and Cerys did a duet entitled "Baby it's cold outside," yes of course you've heard it." Tom Jones doesn't record with "NOBODIES." I think Lloyd probably enjoyed the session as I'm sure he enjoys everything he does.

'really apprecaite that second link to a video of Lloyd. Its always great to be able to hear his one-and-only stylings, and the video shots enabling viewing of how he does some of them is a double treat.

Adair, thanks! Once more we see how Lloyd is able to enhance the singer's voice, makes the tune come together and sound so much better.

...but they have a very entertaining accent when they speak English.

Welsh is right up there fighting with Finnish and Icelandic for the Most Ear-Hurting Language Trophy. (Swedish, on the other hand, is as beautiful as it gets...just kidding!)

Archie, even if I don't speak a word of Welsh, I must say that Cerys has a wonderful voice. Her voice is just so crystal clear which leads me to believe that she is either schooled, or she is a natural talent. I didn't need to know a word of Welsh to enjoy that one.

As for Lloyd Green, I am sure he thoroughly enjoyed the session as well. He doesn't take on sessions anymore that he doesn't enjoy to the fullest.
Just listen to this one - I feel it is closely related to Cerys' song.
I hope we hear more from Cerys and Lloyd!

I enjoyed that, even though my Welsh is rusty.... (I am half Welsh from my mother's side, her maiden name was LLoyd, a solid Welsh name).

On the contrary, Bent! Norwegian is beautiful, maybe excluding nynorsk and the way they speak way up north... And most of all funny - the best comedy language in the world. Jokes and catchphrases that fall flat in other languages always work in Norwegian. And there's just no way any phrase can sound angry in Norwegian!

BTW, Danish sounds just like drunken German

, and is actually a very musical language IMHO.

Now then Per, since you know so much about Wales you will be aware that Wales is known as the "LAND of SONG" and is famous for it's "Welsh Male Voice Choirs" more so than of people like Cerys , Tom Jones, Katherine Jenkins and Sir Harry Secombe to mention just a few. You see, the Welsh language isn't spoken it is sung, what you might call a "Lilt" and contrary to your belief many, many Welsh people do still use the the language, especially in the North where I am from.
Of course Sweden is famous as well for its beautiful language, I mean you have ABBA, but hang on most of their songs were sung in English! Never mind eh! You still have the Chef on the Muppets, he's great, "Urdy Gurdy."

Dave, of course Welsh is a lovely language, and Wales is a lovely country. Hey, I even laugh at Rhod Gilbert!
