Beautiful old Gospel song:
How Long Has It Been since you talked to the Lord
And told him your heart's hidden secrets
How long since you prayed, how long since you stayed
On your knees till the light shone through
How long has it been since your mind felt at ease
How long since your heart knew no burden
Can you call Him your friend
How long has it been
Since you knew that he cared for you.
Recorded on 6 string lap steel.

That's got to be one of the prettiest tunes I've ever heard on a lap steel. Outstanding job. I hope to one day be able to play that well. What tuning are you using? _________________ Some songs I've written |

Really great playing Roy!! Nice arrangement! You really show what the Leavitt tuning can do. I like the acoustic guitar too. Totally lets the steel be heard so nicely. You should do a Gospel project like this. |

Roy-- I cannot tell you how long it has been since Ive heard this song. But it will be on my next Special List in Church very soon. I absolutely love these old songs . But so many of the younger Church goers want to hear the latest R&R gospel that is being played in Church these days. And that kinda stuff seems to me to lose its meaning after you hear very much of it. Roy if you have any more of these songs please put them up for me and the others that like them. They are treasures.
