Steel in Vegas/Buzz/?

Post by Dave Grothusen »

I am going to Vegas in two weeks. Anybody know if/where Buzz Evens is playing and if there are any other steel players in the area that I might be able to listen to? Not counting the Garth Brooks show.

I've seen BUZZ downtown on Friemont St under the lazer light show . He had a little kiosk / portable stage set up.

Hey Dave, our classic country band, Whiskey Revival plays Club Fortune in Henderson every Sunday 5P-9P. I'm playing steel on about 90% of the tunes. We've got a really hot tele picker too!

I was just there last week. Tommy Wayne picks all the time, but was idle for the few nights we were there. However, he did hook me up to see the Country Music Superstars at the Nugget downtown. Harvey Sharp was the steeler and did a great job. Good show!!!

Reece, you know I would love to hear you pick and Dave A too. I just mentioned him to someone the other day and wondered what he was up to these days. I will not be there during the dates you are there. I assume that maybe your time in Vegas has something to do with the rodeo finals, huh?
Nice to hear from you.
