Guys, looks like we'll have to meet again at the old medical ctr at 304 S. Maxwell Sunday Oct.13th from 1:00 to 4:00. Hopefully we'll get to go back to the ABA before too long. Hope to see everyone there.

We had a very good meeting today with Vance Monday and wife Lila who has been missed very much, Mike Spaeth, Larry Garrett, Gerald Sparks. Virgil Pittman was out deer hunting and Donnley was busy on a project that has to be done by the first of the year. Roger Osborn was absent???? Zelpa Ward and Lynn Carney were there. Also David Starr came and played today. Cliff Jenkins was absent????? Larry King stopped by. Of course with Donnley gone that left me in charge of coffee and refreshments. Donnley, we need the big coffee pot! Thanks guys for a good time of fellowship and playing. Everyone have a Good Turkey Day! Will see ya next month.

Well it would appear, with so many of the members not present for the meeting, that many of us had other obligations, interests and/or commitments that we had to attend to Sunday. Also Mr Harringtons name is spelled "DONLEY".One "N" only.My last name is spelled "OSBOURN".Have a good day.???????

So Roger, are there going to be any winter jams? Hows it looking to be able to use the ABA anytime soon. I sure wish you guys had your monthly meeting on Saturdays as I'd sure be there, just to much church stuff going on Sundays to make it. I've got me a new Rains ( I know, I know, I said I was giving steelin' up) so I'm anxious to get with other steelers and learn, and learn, and learn. Only so much you can do with Me, myself and Band in a Box.

Sorry Roger about the mis-spelling your name (Osbourn), I'll try to do better. Also I didn't mean to imply anything about you not being there, I understand people have other obligations. Thanks for setting me straight and the spelling lesson. I'll get Donley's name spelled right too. Have a good day and a happy turkey day!

Hello there Tim;I was on the phone with Scott Hodge (the ABA Director) yesterday to go over over his schedule sheet to verify our slots. We "WILL BE" at the ABA for the December 11th club meeting.I sent an e-mail to Doyle Huff yesterday to see if he would be available to setup a workshop at the December meeting.More on that later. We are still on the schedule for the February 18th Saturday Nite Steel Guitar Jamboree as well as our April 15th and 16th Convention. We wanted to have a jamboree in November but they simply don't have all the heated rooms brought back to an acceptable condition for our guests that would need one. Some of the New Orleans evacuees were less than greatful for their support,so they trashed the place.Broke the toilets, wrote graffitti on the walls and would even curse at the very ones that were there volunteering to help them.I know that Scott is certainly relieved for that horror to be behind him. Finally Tim,the SSSGC is back on track and we hope to see you in February.Roger
