Hi Ray,
Thanks so much for your kind invitation to join you; I'm proud to be the only Pennsylvanian with a charter membership to the Arizona Carport Pickers Association! I'd love to be there, but given that Nov. 6 is this old boy's birthday, I think my wife might have other plans for me that don't entail two airfares to Arizona! I especially wish that I could be there on this particular year, to honor Hal's memory. I had really only gotten to know him in the past 2 years and was fortunate to spend an evening at his AZ home trading licks (well, okay stealing licks) with him about 6 months before he passed. We've lost a great man and a great musician.
I'll be thinking of you all; save some of Dixie's amazing food for me, wouldja? And crack open a cool one for me while you're at it. We'll see you in January in Mesa for sure.
All best wishes,
Jimbeaux
p.s. Sorry I didn't get to return your phone call but it came whilst the family was in a bit of turmoil. I'm sure you understand.[This message was edited by Jim Cohen on 06 October 2005 at 07:59 PM.] |
