Mike,
My heart is very heavy, as I try to find the words to tell you my feelings. I too have followed Carey's story since the first post you made when she got sick. I have kept a close watch here, on CaringBridge, and recently on Facebook, for any news. I have been constantly amazed at the Faith, Strength, and Courage she has shown. I know that we can't imagine what you, Kim, and your family are going through. But, take comfort in the knowledge that Carey is now completely well, and is walking over Heaven, seeing the rest of it that she didn't see in the recent preview she received during her talks with Jesus. She has touched Many lives, and I'm sure that God will Richly Bless her for that. Please remember, that you have Many Friends who want to help, and don't hesitate to call on us at any time, if only to talk. I Pray that God will grant you, and your family, the Strength, and Comfort that you will need, until the day that you willl see your Precious Carey again.

Mike and Kim,
I came across Carey's story earlier this week after returning from St Louis. My heart is so heavy and sad. I know how it hurts to lose a daughter. No one can imagine the emptyness left behind. I left late last night to buy a card and send to her as asked in the earlier threads. This morning I saw the update and just sit and cried. I'll hold on to this card as you'll hold on to memories and patiently wait until your all together once again. I know the words "Thank you for sharing" seem out of place.. but Thank you for letting us get to know such a wonderful young lady.. if only for a short time. May God ease your pain until you meet again.

I read this earlier today. I've been trying to find words to express how I feel about losing Carey, there are none. I guess knowing her suffering is over and she is now at peace should be enough but it isn't.
Bless you Mike and Kim.

Mike and Kim--My wife and I have been keeping up on Carey and your family on Caring Bridge, and praying for you daily, and left some messages there in the Guestbook. We got to know Carey through all the posts that Kim made there, and we learned what a special little girl she was. We have been deeply moved by your family's grace, faith, and courage, but especially Carey's. She passed gracefully, in faith, and fearlessly, showing us all that leaving this world is nothing to dread, but an exciting adventure for those who know God. I know you will miss her terribly, but be comforted in the knowledge that she is at peace with the Lord, and that He loves us all so much. May God grant you comfort and peace.

Mike & Kim...and the rest of your family....I can't tell you how sad I feel right now. I know that the loss of that precious little girl has devastated all of you....and all of us in the steel guitar world. I thank-you for sharing this with us as long as you have......you are to be commended for your bravery, knowing that Carey was fighting a losing battle here on earth.....but now we can all rejoice with her as she graces heaven with her presence there before Jesus and all of heaven's host. We will all miss her but knowing where she is...gives us all a Hope of our own tomorrow....God Bless You all, and know that you are in our prayers still......HAL

Been thinking about you all day. Watching all the sorrow from 2001 on 9/11 on TV but realizing your 9/11 is happening today. Sometimes Trusting God is the hardest thing to do....some things are hard to understand here. Our thoughts and prayers remain with you.

Seems to me that I cannot really find words that would express my feelings appropriately. I have tears in my eyes as I write this. She is in a better world now, that is the thought that may help to get you all through these troubled times. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Kind Regards, Walter

Mike, I wish I knew something to say that would help to ease the pain that you and your family are feeling, but words fail me right now. One thing to always hold onto is the fact that Carey is now completely surrounded by the most perfect love imaginable, and that's the love of Jesus Christ himself. While it hurt terribly to see her go, just think of how happy and pain-free she is now, held forever safe and secure in the arms of Jesus.

To Mike and your family: While it saddens all of us to hear of little Carey passing on to be with the all of her little Angel friends that she has been dreaming of I know that she is in a wonderful peaceful place where Jesus brings his little children that he wants to have with him.

Anyone that has read the Bible much at all knows that the little children are the most precious to Jesus and we know Carey will be more happier than we will ever know until we go to be with our Lord!

I will continue to pray for your family in their time of sadness and I pray that you can celebrate the fun and good times that Carey had before she became ill and that you will always remember the special place she is in now! Never more to suffer or cry or want or need for anything for eternity!

May our Heavenly Father bring peace and happiness to your family by reminding you of the very special place Carey is now and forever! Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow!!!!!

Mike, I am so sorry to read about Carey's passing. It's terrible when one loses a child. Because our hearts are filled with love and joy for them. That they will grow up and carry on our values and the family name. Roxanne and I are thinking of you and we pray that God's love will comfort you and your family.
