Playing a Bb scale when in G
A guitar playing friend of mine said that if I play a Bb scale while the band is in G for my solo's I will sound less like a white boy. Does anyone have a tab to give me some idea's? I'd like to try it out.

Not that there's anything wrong with that...tom anderson wrote:...I will sound less like a white boy.

I'd suggest an F scale instead. The Eb note of the Bb scale is pretty rare in the key of G.

Go to 1st fret w/B & C pedals holding B pedal & rocking off & on C pedal. 3rd string is Bb (flat 3rd), 4th string is root (G) or b7th (F), 5th string is 5th (D), 6th string is Bb again, then 7th string is root (G) again. 2nd string is 6th (E) so use it as needed. Get used to this position & use it for R&R. IT ROCKS!
