This is a 1974 in great shape and been in a never smoked around enviorment. Everything works just the way it did as new. All original. The sound....tremolo.... reverb...is awsome and the amp appears to have been used very little. I have ownd it for 4 years and used it maybe a dozen times and it has left the house only once. Help me out... what is a fair value for this amp. I wonder if Ken Fox is out there in Forum Land and could give me a hand. Thanks!!
I have no idea/ Is it a tweed or a blonde, I can't see that in the pictures at all. If it is a Classic like the later 70;s then it is a hybrid, transistor preamp and tube power amp
That's a cool and great sounding amp, I used to sell those as a Peavey dealer inthe 1970's. Had a 212 in here I recently refurbished and it just sounded awesome.
I have a friend with the matching 410 cab that was available back then!
Original cover and footswitch?
I'm using one of those hybrids as my main steel amp, and I LOVE it. I swapped out the baffle board for cabinet grade birch, and put in a 15" JBL. Absolute tone monster! Ken would know much more about this than I do, but, I've had bassmans, and this amp sounds a little beefier to my ears.
