Ken Emerson's Tuning

Post by mikey »

Aloha,
I was wondering, anyone know offhand what tuning Ken Emerson uses?...I've got a fill in gig and they want me to cover some of his stuff...problem is I've never heard him, one of the G or A tunings I suppose?...anyone know for sure?
Mahalo,
Mike

On the "Slack & Steel" CD (great album, by the way), he lists a number of steel tunings, including G taro patch, G 6th and G minor.

Mikey,

I'm pretty sure a lot of the steel work on the album is in G tuning. I recommend the album very highly--one of my all-time favorites. Good luck with the gig.
