Heads up, Texan steeler/producer Lloyd Maines is right in our backyard this coming weekend. If you're a Dixie Chicks fan, go see Natalie's Dad pick!
----------
Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 7:30 (doors open at 7:00). Admission is $14 for non-members, $11 for members, cash or check only please (Children under 18 FREE with paid adult.)
Terri Hendrix with Lloyd Maines (www.terrihendrix.com <http> ): From San Marcos, Texas, Terri Hendrix is one of that state’s most respected singer/songwriters. Her songs range in style from folk to pop to blues to jazz while her writing explores joy and struggle in equal doses. Terri’s intelligent songs, presented with her engaging and energetic personality, take listeners on an emotional roller coaster but ultimately leave them feeling good and spiritually charged. Even when her songs dig deep and fearlessly confront the truths of life, the heart and society, they still reveal her belief that it takes just as much courage to embrace and celebrate the light as it does to wallow in the blues. Terri will be accompanied by her musical partner for 13 years, Grammy award-winning producer and acoustic/steel guitarist extraordinaire Lloyd Maines.
Sabrina and Craig (www.sabrinaandcraig.com <http> ) are Southern California’s own Sabrina Schneppat and Craig Lincoln. Their warm-hearted songs are voiced with beautiful, sophisticated harmonies accompanied by Craig’s amazing finger style guitar playing and Sabrina’s electric bass and ukulele. Though performing together for many years, they just released their first CD together “One Home, One Heart.” They also host their own monthly concert series “Acoustic LA – LIVE!” on the second Saturday of each month in North Hollywood.
