Gene Watson's 3 Minutes At A Time/Who Does the Steel?
I just discovered what I feel is one of the most beautiful steel guitar parts I have ever heard in my 57 years.... Gene Watson's "Three Minutes At A Time". If anyone out there knows anything about this beautiful and masterful playing please advise!! I'm sorry, but I am tore up over this song..I played it last night over & over until my battery went down on the MP3 player. If any of you guys did this recording...please let me know. I would love to know more! For anyone who hasn't heard it yet, you need to check it out!!! Thanks, everyone.

Great Job, Mickey!! I really appreciate the help on this one. I have been so taken with the quality of the steel work Mike Johnson does on that song! It's great when someone is able to explain and demonstrate how something is played! You are a real asset to the steel guitar community!! I love computers! Well, sometimes. Bob, sorry my original post and subject line didn't lend itsself to an understanding of what I was after. Guess I got a little bit emotional about Mike's playing!

When I was hanging out and playing clubs on Broadway in the late 70's/early 80's Mike used to come down there a lot and sit in. He just amazed everyone with his virtuosity. A truly great player.
