Stringmaster serial number location?

Post by Stephen Dorocke »

I'm trying to find the serial # on a Fender Deluxe 8 Stringmaster. Under the tuner pan, written is 11/55, and the potentiometer coincides with that date. But I didn't see a serial number... Can anybody out there tell me where to look? Thanks in advance, sd

please tell us where you found it. (just to make this thread more valuable to newbies)
To write with a broken pencil is pointless.

It's usually stamped on the plate back by the bridge.

BTW: The serial number on my quad Stringmaster is: #0002. :D

Just behind the blender knob, under the strings where they exit the "keyholes" for the ball ends.

Stephen,
That is applicable to the later model Stringmasters, not the early ones.
