Jam

Post by Bill Cook »

The Jam tonight will be in the Main Ballroom of The Hotel. They had a cancelation and are letting us use the Ballroom. That means there is no ending time!!!! Gonna be Good!! All musicians park in underground parking lot. You can take your equipment right into ballroom and then pull out up stairs to unload your other stuff.

Well i cant believe that no one has commented on this weekends show. :? It was such a wonderful weekend. Had an awesome Jam friday night and the show saturday was great. Bill did a wonderful job getting together a great show and a great group of players. Lookin forward to next year already.

And where was all the other Alabama folks. I'm sure you must of had to work or family obligations.

Anyway, i had a ball. Even though MR. Cook put me to work. pluggin in mics, running cords, hauling equipment, BUT I HAD FUN DOING IT.

Good to see and here Russ, and Mike Johnson and Joanie, Rob Parker did a superb job at M.C. Sat and listened to Carco Clave for first super picker. Good to see the progress that Herby has made he is gettin fast again.

:D Congrats to Lynn Owsley on going into the Alabama Steel guitar Hall of Fame. And to Gordon Dodson for the Horizon Award. :D

What can we say about the Band, jim wayne johnny and we missed ole Woody hope he is feeling well.
Great to meet Bill Radar. great fiddle player and lead man and not bad on banjo either. Hope he is back next year.

All in all a great weekend lets get ready for next year and make it even bigger than this year.

After the show Mike Johnson came out to a bar in Montgomery and picked circles around Don Lynch & myself. His brother played a nice Victor Wooten bass solo on one song. Mike is a great player and an all around nice guy.
