If anyone is going to be in Nashville this weekend, I will be working with Con Hunley at the stage down at the River. We are supposed to play at around 2:00 on Saturday afternoon, June 11th.

I hope to see you there. Also, I might mention that Con has a super band and I am honored to just be a part of it.

I agree, Todd! LOVE Con's voice, and Herby is one of my all time favorites as well. What a sound they must make together. Sure wish I could get away to catch the show. I know it will be knocked out. Herby, keep us posted if you play with Con again! Keep us posted in general! Have fun Saturday. Hate to miss it.

Yes, Con is one of the finest vocalists I have worked with and it is always a musical treat every time I get to back him. He is such a soulful singer, so when backing him we work off of each other which is the way it should be when backing a singer of his calibur. In other words, you can't play just a cut and dry fill-in, but you really have to listen to his phrasing and play off of that, so it is a real musical experience every time.

I have been working with Con for about 9 years; however, we really don't do that much now. The last time we played was New Year's Eve. Anyhow, I hope to see some of you in Nashville tomorrow.

The first time I heard Con Hunley was late at night on my car radio. He did, "You Still Got a Place In My Heart". A bluesy rendition with Ray Charles type piano phrases. Wow! Knocked me out! Now, add Herby and the chemistry is complete. Wish I could be there, Herby.

I remember liking a song by Con Hunley a lot, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was. What was his signature song, and what year was it in the charts. I do remember that he sang with a lot of feeling. Seem's like it was a ballad. Something like "No Releif in sight". but I know that wasn't it. Wish I could be there. Doyle
