Lloyd Green Interview

Post by Marcel Parijs »

Here's a Interview with Lloyd Green I find on YouTube. What can I say about Lloyd. One of the best pioneers on E9. For me he's a player who play with his heart.

Thank you so much Marcel for posting this. Great interview!

He covered in a nutshell in the latter part of the piece what many of us have been posting here for years and about which have typed many thousands of words.

There is only one Lloyd Green. Long live Lloyd! :D

Marcel I must have listened to that thing 10 times by now. Every time I find something new. Lloyd is the real deal. What he says, you can take to the bank.

I love it and Lloyd's playing. I've been listening to Lloyd and Tommy's video today and trying to pick up some new licks and phrases and that will make you dig for them too. What a player.

Thanks guys for the reply's. I never hear something about Lloyd. Does he still playing live? I know he was playing at the Steelconvention a lot of years ago and at some country festivals here in Holland.

Also he recording one CD at my friend's studio Nils Tuxen who lives in Hamburg. The name of the cd was Reflextion I'll remember. Beautifull songs.
I hope to see him playing somewhere.

Marcel, you have likely heard of Lloyd's work with Peter Cooper, but it's worth mentioning again.

Alan, Lloyd can do that to ya..keep you up! What is it about this man and his playing? It's amazing to see how he plays what appears to be simple stuff but makes every note sound so good and makes every note count.
