How do you tell the age of a Fender Deluxe Reverb amp? I can't seem to locate any date or such on my amp that tells me the year of manufacture. Thanks for any advice.

A recent issue of Vintage Guitar magazine had an article listing all Fender Amp serial numbers by year. I saved the article for future reference. Do you have the serial number? _________________ Jim@MathisPhoto.net |

Hi Allen,
Using the serial number stamped on the back side of the chassis you can consult the following data base to determine the amp's age:

You can try the Fender Amp Field Guide...
http://www.ampwares.com/fender.asp
You can get close by speaker or transformer date codes, assuming that the parts are original.... post a couple of pictures. |

Ditto the link posted earlier. It goes far beyond what's in the field guide, and has progressed over about 15 years into one of the most valuable tools for vintage amp collectors/players. _________________ No chops, but great tone
