71' Fender Vibrolux w/ Weber speakers.
I tried the NV 400 thing for awhile but the creamy breakup sounds better to my ears.
Only misgiving is that on certain stages, I have to do battle with that Fender icepick frequency. It hurts ussssss!

Chris,I had a Nashville 400 for a short while and The compressor bugged me,it seemed to always clamp down at the wrong time...Maybe I'm just too loud,Having said that one of my two LTD's always seems to break,I've only had both working correctly for a few months.

I have a pair of NV-112s that have performed flawlessly for about six years now - I really like them, and I can lift them, too.
My two NV-400s just sit at home, but now I have Ken Fox' excellent new steel amp - I've yet to use it professionally, but it's going to be great, I know...

My new Fox Vintage steel-amp is stunning-sounding, and is beautifully made - it's also extremely light (not much more than a NV-112!)
Much of what I'm hearing, though, is probably the therapeutic effect of hearing a real tube amp after so many years of solid-state rigs. My last tube amps were my MusicMan amps that I used in the Old Country in the '80s, but even they had a solid-state stage in them.
I won't get rid of these 112s, though - I stand by all I've ever said about them.

For a more "Mooney" flavored tone I use my MusicMan HD212 One Fifty with two 12" Electro Voice speakers. It's without a doubt the heaviest amp I've ever encountered but it's worth the weight. For some gigs I use my old Randall Steelman 500 with a 15" JBL speaker............JH in VA.
Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!!
