Hello to everyone out there, especially in West Texas. We are just now beginning a West Texas Steel Guitar Association, based out of Abilene. I have already spoken to numerous people about a club, have several people interested in helping, and also have a Steel Show scheduled for June 2006. Yes, that's June 2006. I have contacted several great steel players this month, and they are planning to attend. Details to follow in May 2005. For further details and interest, email me. I have talked with Dwayne Burns, and Randell Palmore, and both are willing and ready to help me get going.
Thanks,
Larry Toliver

Best of luck to you and your group, from East Peoria. If we can help in any way, let us know. Ours just started last year.

Yes, I have spoken to Larry about this show and looking forward to being there next June as I'm sure this will be a great one. Of course, my favorite vocalist of all time lives in Abilene, which is none other than Curtis Potter and I would imagine he'll be there.

Good Luck Larry with the show and your new organization.

Larry, you can count me in. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help. I've been thinking, for a long time, that we needed to get something like this going here in West Texas.

Larry, it looks like you've got things moving in the right direction. I'm like Herby Wallace.....Curtis Potter is one of my all time favorite singers. I'm also looking forward to being there next June.
Good luck with the organization and keep in touch.

Have had several more emails about the West Texas Steel Guitar Association today. Yes, Herby, Curtis Potter is already planning to be there that weekend. The last weekend in June is already marked for the 1st annual show in Abilene. We are meeting this Saturday morning for the 1st planning session for the association. Keep the emails coming. More details to follow in the coming days.
Thanks,
Larry Toliver
