Danny said it all.
Let me add that on the road with Tillis, I would get into situations where I would have to use regular guitar strings because I ran out of steel guitar strings......I found that they went dead faster and the 011's were much more likely to break after a few days play......I would even break 020's and 018's in those situations.......There is definitely a difference in the elasticity of guitar strings.
There is the absolute truth. Just a word of warning for you guys who double on standard 6 string guitar. DO NOT use Jagwire stainless on your standard guitar. That is unless you don't care about sanding all the callouses off your fingers. The stainless wrapping is so much harder than the nickel. They do sound great on a standard guitar however, if you don't mind sore fingers.
Although we do also make guitar string sets, both acoustic and electric, NONE of our sets are stainless for these applications. The reason being is that stainless strings on six string guitars can eat up your frets pretty bad, and we don't recommend using them. However, that's not to say that nobody uses stainless, and there are several other string manufacturers that offer stainless sets for six string guitar.

I can only add that I've been using them for about ten years and after reading Danny's detailed post, I better understand why I love them. Thank you Danny and Regina for a quality product and great customer service.

I know for a fact that Jagwire Strings are diffrent than other stings. I have used other brands..liked some, didn't like some, would ALWAYS go back to a certain brand I had been using for years. Then I was asked to try Jagwires..that was about 10 years ago. At the time 10 years ago I was playing 5 nites a week and doing sessions 3 or 4 days a week, and I only had 1 steel so my guitar was getting a LOT of work. I put Jagwires on and was asked to leave them on as long as I could to see how long they would last..7 weeks later they ALL went dead..and I never broke any strings...needlest to say,as long as I play..I WILL play with Jagwire Strings! And they sound great to!!!
Thanks Danny and Regina for every thing you do!
