My dear friend Mike,

With all of the problems our great country is going through with people losing their jobs and having their home in forclosure..

Watching Televison or listening to the same political issues being disccused, which only add to the problems at hand,

Listening to your great show and my honor to call you my friend means very much to me.

I have told many friends who are not members of this great Forum of your show, I've sent your www.swinginwest.com to those I know from coast to coast...

You're music is captivating and therapeutic...to those of us who listen to my dear friend Mike and to Steel Players from all parts of the world, keep up as you have and as I've said many times over, You are the best in your field and have
done myself and those who listen to you. PROUD!!!

Your buddy always,

Jody-and if anyone thinks I'm laying this on a bit too thick, It's my opinion...what I've posted is from my heart..and to me that's what counts. Thank you again Mike, You are the BEST!!!

Thank you for airing my session with.....
Julia Steele and the Count Basie Orchestra
and again for airing the song my dad composed many years ago, and I recall you're first airing that many years ago, it was one of the first he composed..Did You mean that Last Goodbye with the late Vaughn Horton on steel and Jimmy Dale on vocal, I was still trying to learn steel guitar at that time.

My dad would have been proud of you as I am..then there's Sam Martins great song You call everybody Darling, my dad and Sam were close friends and I met him when I was young, I beleive Sam and Al Trace composed that beauty, I may be wrong however Al Trace had something to do with it, perhaps the first recording of that Thank you for having Don Sulesky's music played as well.Don is a good friend and fine steel player :)

All of us who play Steel Guitar admire you for the man that you are and the expertise that you offer..someone once said and I quote........

There is only one Mike Gross..un-quote..how right that someone was....

Keep up the great work, and I'll quote. There IS ONLY ONE MIKE GROSS........

Your friend and fan,you sure bring me back to a time gone by, and for that. I thank you again...I'm happy to hear my dad's songs played and proud of you for making that possible, You've done all of us proud and to have you on this Forum is a blessing.. www.swinginwest.com

>>Come A Little Bit Closer- Jim Stringer and the AM Band (Music Room) (CD- Triskaidekaphilia)

Mike... thanks for the spin... as always, your show is a great bunch of music, and a reminder that there is still alot of good music being made, despite the efforts of the Nashville establishment!

BTW... the steel guitar on "Come a Little Bit Closer" is my good friend and forum contributor, Roy Glaze, one of my favorite Austin steelers... beautiful tone, great pitch and always there for the song, not just to show off his licks!

Jody, Don and Jim,

I can't thank you all enough for the bumps to the thread about my show.

Jim, it is so great to see you on the Forum and I have to echo your thoughts about the good music being out there. It is my pleasure to play the good stuff that you record. You are also right about Roy's fine steel playing.
