Hi all. I have a PODxt and I have the Dodd presets CD. I have downloaded GearBox so that I can get these presets into the POD, but I can't figure out how to upload the presets. Can anyone direct me to any instructions on how to do this? Thanks in advance!

Along with gearbox, I think you need the Monkey program. I had a call from a local steeler that got an update disc from Tommy at the Lakeland Steel Show. As it turned out it was basically self installing when he loaded the disc.

Tommy told the guy to contact me as I would help him with it, but I never saw the disc or what it did and was almost as lost as the guy that called me.

Jack, first of all I want to thank you for trying to help the gentleman in Lakeland with his POD setup. I recall telling him he would have to download the Line 6 Edit software (not Monkey or Gearbox) in order to load my presets. IMHO,Line 6 Edit is a bit easier for a novice to use with the POD XT line. He said he thought he could do it but I told him to call me for some help if he needed it or possibly he could find someone in his area that was familiar with the PODs. He said he knew you, or knew of you, and I said I thought you might be a good source for help since you are so experienced with the POD products.

It's very interesting that Brian Pelky, the originator of this thread didn't contact me directly for help. When people buy products directly from me I always make sure they know how to get in touch with me if they have any problems or questions about those products.

Oh well, thanks again......

Tommy, I don't mind helping people with computer stuff, I'm a retired computer network and help desk tech/manager. Just, it would have been better if I knew what and how the disc worked.

Hi Tommy. Will definitely call you for help on this if you can assist me. I bought this PODxt used and your disc came with it, but it's not loaded into the unit yet. I have Gearbox and Monkey, but not LIne 6 edit software. I'll call you to discuss. Thanks so much Tommy.

The rack mount model uses the same programs as the "bean" shaped model. Update it with the latest firmware before installing the programs.

There are Tommy's programs and I have some "effects only" programs on my web site that can be downloads and installed using the Line 6 Edit or Gearbox programs. www.gulfcoaststeelguitar.com

Thanks Jack! I will update my XT live and check out your site!! My XT live is not a rack mount...it's the floor version all in one unit. I guess they're all the same ?

Tony, don't worry, XT and XT Live are the same, the difference is mainly in the enclosure and the size and placement of controls. Program patches are compatible.

Thanks for sharing your tones, Jack! Very Happy
