I would like to thank everyone for the honor that was bestowed on me at the Northwest Georgia Steel Guitar Show on the 14th of Feb. 2010. The award was very special for me as it was awarded by my peers.

Absolutly fantastic to see and hear so many of my friends and fellow musicians there. Thanks to Jerry Braswell for the invitation and Pres. Bill Cunningham, Sect. Bill Fergerson, Comm. Chairman Woody Ledford and co-Chairman Gene Still for their hard work and support in this kind of show. Everyone there had a great time espeacially me.

Thanks again to everyone for letting me sit in for Mr. Conyers. That was tough playing in front of Mike Johnson, and on a different guitar hehe. Thanks, see yall in June!

Wow! What a fantastic show yesterday in Atlanta!
But, I thought these events were supposed to inspire
"would-be" steel players. After hearing and seeing
all the great players at the Shrine Temple yesterday, it made me want to throw my steel
into the wood-burning stove!

Thanks to everyone who had a part in making this
show so enjoyable...and for a very worthy cause.

Mike Johnson's playing was something to behold.
What a fantastic, down-to-earth, humble
individual Mike is! If I could play half that well,
I would set up on a street corner somewhere and say, "Hey, everybody! Come over here and hear what I can do!" (just kiddin')

The staff band sure deserves a big "Thank you!" Those guys started at 10am and went to 6! What great
players they are! They know how to make good
steel pickers sound even better!

Already looking forward to next year!

Well, back home and back to the ole job job!!! haha.
I had a blast at the show yesterday. It was good to see all the friends i have made over there in georgia but also met some new folks also.

It is always great to see Russ and Herby. Russ had some great new material and Herby is getting better and better in his recovery. Was great to see and here Joe Turner again, what a nice guy and he has a very sweet wife, Brenda which happens to be my moms name. LOL!

What can i say about Mike Johnson that hasnt been said already. He amazes me, and yesterday was the first time i really got to talk to him one on one, what a nice down to earth fellow he is, and it doesnt hurt that he is from alabama  Joanie is such a sweetheart, congrates to her and her dad on the induction into the nebraska country music hall of fame.

It was great to hear all the georgia guys again you all sounded awesome.

If not before I will see you all in June.

Before this announcement gets real old, I would like to add my comments.
It was one the best ones I have seen in a while.
Everyone was on their game, locals and special guests.
It is a pure pleasure to be involved in a show like this(also a great cause)
Congratulations, Jerry and the Shriner crew!!!

It was fabulous.

It never fails some of the best talent sits in the audience.

Why can't we have more shows?

I wish I could go to Saluda but the wife was already mad about Valentines.
