Lloyd's and Mike's styles are so complimentary.

There's a CD in the works for Peter and Eric. Lloyd and Mike will be on it!

A clinic of taste and tone. Mike was the one who got me hooked on dobro as a teenager and he's my dobro hero and what else can you say about Lloyd ? He's great. I love it. Thanks for posting this.

My first great quality pedal steel was a Sho-Bud LDG that I bought back in 1976. The last I remember my Junior High School principal bought it after I traded it in on a Sho-Bud Super Pro D-10. The more I think about it,the LDG was a much better guitar than the Super Pro.

So that's what pedal steel is supposed to sound like.

Lest we forget, how about a vote of thanks for Peter !! I have begun to read everything he posts. I cannot forget the Everly Brothers plus Buddy Emmons threads he gave us a while back and these are of equal quality and talent. I may not know how you do it Peter but I sure as heck like it ! Keep up the good work in sounds of the PSG !!

Regards, Paul :D 8) 8) :D

And let's thank the other Peter, the one in the videos - Peter Cooper. A multi-talented guy - strong singer/songwriter, and my favorite music columnist writing anywhere these days!

Notice how Peter looks at Lloyd with reverence when Lloyd plays Some Broken Hearts.
Everything Lloyd touches is pure gold. Boy do I love that man's playing.

Yes, and also notice the big smile on Peter's face when Lloyd does some of these unbelievable bar slants. :)

Thanks, Paul. I have YouTube searches for my favorite players and artists bookmarked and when I find something I think is cool I post it.

Lloyd's playing is pure gold. Sure glad I could tell him that in person when I had the chance, and that I got his autograph in "gold ink" on one of his record-covers.

Georg, Yes, being in touch with a man of Lloyd's stature gives you that special feeling.
I have a pic of him and I from the ISGC in 1977. He is such a pro and so humble that it makes you feel special when he talks to you in such a relaxed, friendly manner.

Seems to me, the true mark of a real pro is his humility.

Here is another one of Lloyd's beauties that can stand to be watched over again
