Corky was the first drummer I ever worked with in 1962 in Key West Florida.

He tells a tale on me that I used to drift off to sleep and never miss a beat playing bass.

I was in the Navy,Working all Day and playing in the clubs till 4 in the morning, I never Slept.

I've always maintained that he was so Steady that I couldn't do anything but be right on the beat because of him. It was great musical training.

I fired a bunch of drummers over the years because of Corky. It seems the rest of them just couldn't measure up.

Wayne Stowers is also one of the few drummers like Corky that a Bass Player can get in the groove with and play some real music with.

You guys have will have two of the very best at this show.

I wish I had the opportunity to be there at this show and hear this quality of music again, Its been a long time since I have been around great pickers like this.

I listen to you guys talk about the time past and think about how I ever fit into the picture. I have no idea how I ever got to work with you guys, just blessed I guess. I know Hank and Earl Erb help me keep a job once. I have worked with some great players over the years I guess they just felt sorry for me and thought they would give me a chance. It was great and I learned a lot, but I had some great teachers and had some real good mentors. Looking forward to seeing all you guys.

Jerry Doesn't need to make any excuses, First time I saw him was 1973 and he was a Great Picker and was young enough to do it. He was singing his scrawny butt off too. He is still doing all that only he ain't too scrawny anymore

I was 32 when I got to Nashville and didn't have enough sense to know I was already too Old until I ran into a guy Name Rick Money from Columbus, Ga, who was 18 and was smoking the strings off of a telecaster and John Anderson who was 14 at the time and singing his butt off too..

Nashville has always been a young Pickers Town and still is, I just don't prefer their type of music these days

Jerry Braswell has been one of my favorite singers for many years and he is also a good bass player. I knew him when he was just a teen. We went to Nashville about the same time. He has always been a good friend and a very talented musician.

I can’t say enough about my friend Jerry. I have had the pleasure of working with him on the Ga. Mtn. Fair Band and several other things for about the past 12-14 years. I like to say “I’ve learned so much from Jerry and some of it is good”

Just kidding about the last part.

Hello to all, I have had so many e-mails from all directions. Thanks for the e-mails. I am looking for a good show and a good turn out. Players have contacted me wanting to give their talents to raise money for the Childrens Hospitals. It would be great to be able to put everyone on the show that wants to play. I think it is great that our steel guitar family is supporting the Shriners Hospitals like they are. I would find it hard to believe that any other group of musician is supporting another chairity this well. I am humbled guys beyond belief. I wish I could give you the thanks you deserve. When we started this we didn't know if we would ever be able to get this much interest. I appreciate all that you guys do to help us give a child a better quality of life. I love you for it.

We just booked our rooms at La Quinta. Looking forward to a great show. Bringing a few good friends to show as well.

We start building our new all tube pedal steel amps tomorrow! Will have at least one to show (our prototype, serial #0001).

We have to get orders filled and shipped first. If time permits I want to get a production model there as well with the new optional 22 pound, 1-15" extension cabinet.

Looks like all is going well. I am looking for a great time at this show. I know Mike Johnson, Russ Hicks, Herby Wallace and Hank Corwin will give you a show you won't forget. But, keep in mind we also have some other great players who will be adding to the great sounds of the steel. Make your plans to attend. It's only a couple of weeks away. I hope to see you all there.

But don't you give up, there has to something that a drummer can do, How about Roger Crawford Becoming a Steel Player, If its that easy you can Play Steel Guitar, I have one now and I'm trying
