Good Morning,

Another week gone, so it is time for a new clip. This time we are back in 1969:

When I was young and in my prime
I could tell the steel man every time

Now I'm old and done got grey
I can only tell every other Sunday

If that isn't Hal Rugg I'll give up my song writing carreer !!

Regards, Paul :D :D :D

That's Lorettta's brother Jay Lee Webb. So, it would make sense that Hal Rugg would be doing the steel honors.......... and as Paul said, of course the sound is quite familiar. :)

I agree with Paul and Rick....I would also like to remember Bob Hempker, a great steel player, who was Loretta's road player for 20 years or so. He was required to play all of Loretta's signature licks as recorded by the late and Great Hal Rugg. Bob did a superb job for Loretta in my opinion. Bob is a member of this forum too.

Please continue your songwriting, Paul! :)

Everything is correct - it is Jay Lee Webb and Hal Rugg.

Kind Regards, Walter
